On October 31st, AMP Research was awarded the DaimlerChrysler Design Excellence Award for their newly introduced BedStep™. The BedStep is a manually operated tailgate step that provides easy access to the truck bed from the rear bumper. When it is not in use, it stores conveniently underneath the bumper. According to the Chrysler Group, the BedStep demonstrated the highest degree of overall quality and craftsmanship among all products introduced for current Chrysler vehicles. This design award was given specifically for its applicability to Dodge trucks. Ralph Gilles, Vice President – Jeep/Truck and Component Design, Chrysler Group, stated, “The winners of our Design Excellence Awards embody the passion, creativity and possibilities that are core Chrysler Group design values.” The BedStep, was one of multiple AMP Research products featured on an Interstate themed Dodge Ram 3500 Mega Cab.
