These new Oasis Differential Covers feature the classic “SUPER DUTY” logo engraved into the face of the cover. In addition, they are also available with custom engraving. Oasis Differential Covers combat heat build-up under high stress that can shorten the life of the differential when compared to the stock stamped steel cover in the following ways: First, Oasis Differential Covers are constructed of aluminum alloy, enabling them to dissipate heat more quickly. Second, gear oil capacity is increased by nearly one full quart, reducing operating temperature. Third, Oasis Differential Covers feature cooling fins designed to reduce the temperature of the gear oil. The result is cooler differential operation and extended bearing life. Oasis Differential Covers feature beefy 1/4 to 3/8 inch walls, coupled with a 1/2 inch flange, making them significantly more robust than stock covers. In addition, the thicker flange guarantees a sure seal against oil leaks, even under the most extreme conditions. Page 1 of 2 One of the keys to the strength of Oasis Differential Covers is the use of A356.2 aluminum alloy that is used in the manufacturing of the cover, along with a precision casting process that results in a superior finished product. After casting, each Oasis Differential Cover is heat treated to aircraft quality T-6 strength. Other features include a conveniently located fill plug and a magnetic drain plug that traps metal particles while enabling the gear oil to be changed without removing the cover.
