So, here are your bike rack choices. Heave four bicycles up onto your car’s roof rack, at which time you’ll forget about them, run into the drive-in roof at In ‘n Out Burger, knock your bikes off and dent your roof. Or, marginally better, strap a rack onto your trunk, and lock yourself from your trunk for the whole trip.

But how about this? Softride’s hitch mount Access Rack has more than enough room for up to four bikes, and gives you constant easy access to your hatchback. The loading platform stays level as it swings down, where you only need to lift your bikes inches to put them in place. And once your bikes are loaded, swing the spring-loaded platform back up and it snaps into place.

Of course, to keep your bikes safe on the road, there’s a lock system that secures the rack to your car and your bikes to the rack. And when you’re ready to go up to the mountain, we have separate attachments to hold your skis or snow boards.
