Downey Products introduces Top Spin – a customized, top-mount rollup system that represents the next generation of utility, convenience and style in the Downey soft tonneau cover family.

Top Spin features a tear-proof, UV-coated, tri-laminate fabric cover that resists stretching and shrinking in extreme hot and cold weather conditions. Fit into the underside are strong, pre-snapped, anodized bows that keep the cover centered and uniformly positioned during rollup and rollback.

An advanced bed rail design minimizes engagement of the cover’s Velcro fabric fastening system until it is ready to be secured – thus extending the Velcro’s useful life span. The sleek, low-profile rails – constructed from black anodized aluminum – are rounded and contoured to the shape of the pickup bed for a stylish, original equipment appearance. They are held securely in place by top-drive clamps positioned inside the bed. Special front and rear EPDM rubber seals keep water outside the truck bed.

Top Spin’s heavy-duty rear rail incorporates a spring-loaded auto latch that engages the rail to lock the cover in place. A pull cord on the cover’s underside easily disengages the latch. The cover can then be secured to the cab rail using an integrated buckle strap, or removed completely using spring-loaded auto latches, when full access to the bed is required.

Downey’s new tonneau even features its own auto-tensioning system that is pre-installed on the front side rails. Tensioning is pre-set at the factory, but can be adjusted by the owner using a ¼-inch hex wrench (included with purchase).

The Top Spin is currently available for most Chevrolet/GMC, Dodge and Ford pickups, as well as the Nissan Titan Crew Cab and King Cab, and Toyota Tacoma. It is backed by a limited lifetime warranty from Downey Products. The cover ships assembled to front and rear rail to make installation (and operation) a fast and simple one-person process.
