AMP RESEARCH BEDSTEP™ GIVES EASY ACCESS TO CARGO EVEN WITH TAILGATE OPEN.

AMP Research, inventor and manufacturer of Power Step running boards and the popular Bed X-Tender™, has designed the first truly practical way to easily access the tailgate of a truck. The BedStep™ tailgate step, manufactured from heavy-duty, black powder coated aluminum, is a sturdy, yet lightweight bumper step that folds down to a provide an easy step up to the bumper or open tailgate when loading cargo.

AMP incorporates a patented spring-loaded cam design that allows the BedStep to easily deploy and retract with a simple push of your foot. Manually operated, the BedStep “snap-locks” into position. When the tailgate is down, unique multi-link construction allows the step to position to a convenient side angle, again allowing easy access to the truck’s cargo bed. When not in use, the BedStep stows conveniently and rattle-free under the rear bumper.

The heavy-duty aluminum multi-link construction provides a solid stepping platform for both commercial and recreational use. Installs in about 20 minutes using the existing rear bumper mounting points Applications to include current and earlier model Ford F-150 and Super Duty; Chevy Silverado/GMC Sierra; Dodge Ram and the new 2007 Toyota Tundra.
