The all-new Ford Mustang, with its retro styling reminiscent of its muscle car
heritage, promises to be one of the hottest cars to come out of Detroit in a long
time. And with a majority of the production run devoted to V6 Mustangs, performance
enthusiasts are already clamoring for more power from the 4.0-liter V6. AIRAID has developed a state-of-the-art Cool Air Intake System for the new Mustang that generates an additional 13 rear-wheel horsepower and 10 lbs/ft.
The new V6 Mustang system utilizes a roto-molded, cross-linked polyethylene
intake tube and light-weight composite Cool Air Dam.
The heart of the new Mustang air intake system is an AIRAID Premium SynthaFlow™ high-flow air filter which is isolated
from engine heat by a computer-designed Cool Air Dam. SynthaFlow™ is a synthetic-fiber material that traps the smallest
dirt particles that ordinary cotton-gauze "performance" filters can't capture without inhibiting air flow.
That translates into improved air flow over stock, dramatically improved throttle response and dyno-proven gains in horsepower
and torque, not to mention better fuel efficiency. And as is the case with all AIRAID products, the 2005-2009 4.0L Mustang Intake
