There’s no question the Jeep® Wrangler is one of the most popular off road vehicles ever to come off the assembly line. With a solid-axle
drivetrain and the Jeep nameplate, the Wrangler is every bit as “Trail Rated” as Jeep says it is.
But when you add oversized tires and additional off road goodies such as a winch and heavy steel bumpers, the stock four-cylinder engine
starts to need some help in the power department.
AIRAID Premium Filter Company has found a way to unleash some of the 2.5-liter’s hidden horsepower and torque with the development of
a new Cool Air Dam intake for the ‘91-‘95 Jeep Wrangler YJ. AIRAID’s Cool Air Dam system for the 2.5-liter YJ (Part # 310-176)
features a full-length intake tube and a computer-designed Cool Air Dam, which isolates engine heat away from the air inlet and take advantage of the dense, cool air from outside of the engine bay.
At the heart of the system is AIRAID’s Premium SynthaFlow®
filter that allows for both maximum air flow and superior filtration,
down to 2 microns. The system not only improves air flow by 42 percent over the stock air box, it also dramatically improves throttle response with an increase of a respectable 6 HP and 9 lb/ft of torque. Installation for this system is a true bolt-on affair, as
